Ai's 2012 Fashion Show: What's Next Are You Ready To Wear?

This past spring I was in an eleven week fashion show production class at my school  The Art Institute of California-San Francisco. The fashion show is done annually and this year the show was titled What's Next- Are You Ready To Wear? It is always held at the San Francisco Design Center and this quarter I had the pleasure of participating in the production under the instruction of Clarissa Nicosia, who has produced everything from charity event fashion shows to large scale fashion shows for very well known designers. It was a very long road with a beautiful turn out. I must say that it was worth all of our stressed days and long nights. I was a PR lead along side Elijah McKinnon. Together we ran the social media for our event on Facebook and Twitter. We also reached out to local bloggers and companies in San Francisco to attend and have vendor booths at the show.

As a production class we worked on everything from casting models from Scout Model &Talent Agency , JE Model Management, and Look Model Agency. We also set up floor plans and visuals for the event venue. There was a team of stylist that completed runway looks, a team for sponsors, a music and choreography team, and so much more! It was a great experience and opportunity to work in such a large team; I definitely learned a lot from everyone. I gained/exercised great skills that will benefit me later on in my career and life in general. I would also like to personally thank sponsors, vendors, VIP guest, staff, students, volunteers, and everyone else who came out to support us or helped us in anyway.
